I’m all for the upper chamber playing a constructive role but the kind of parliamentary antics here are shameful and designed not to
improve the Bill, but to wreck it

Really interesting piece by @rowenamason.bsky.social about the Tory fight to stop the abolition of the hereditary peers. 116 amendments have been tabled on the bill at committee stage which is due to begin the first of three days debate this afternoon.
