Wrapping my head around how busy you'll all get after Vera Rubin starts operation. You'll be tracking hundrends to pin down the probabilities of collision.
My understanding is that the way their cadence and pipeline works, most of the discoveries they make will be ready to publish with fairly long arcs already. I'm sure plenty will be found that need follow up as well. Hopefully in mag ranges we can get to.
Exciting times. I wonder if the public is ready for the flood of objects with a significant probability of hitting Earth, after all the fuss about 2024YR4. Is it going to cause worldwide attention ...or will the US still go on to decrease funding for planetary defense?
