No one was sacrificed, so her body wasn't able to get out, but she was able to project her soul just before the gate closed. This doesn't have to do with her power, it's a magic thing.

Wait so if sacrifices are needed for the bodies to escape how were they able to escape in episode 20 despite there not being sacrifices? Or are sacrifices only needed for the Blood Moon Ritual and not if Dragon Ivory is used?
