The reward is fulfillment instead of something tangible. It is just unfortunate that so many presume that everyone only seeks tangible rewards often at the expense of the one being helped. Compassion drives a soul to seek goals beyond themselves.

Something tangible is less important than the invisible (making people feel good/happy, helping people achieve success without taking something tangible from them)

Giving back is more important than taking. Also, taking might be "normal", but giving back equal or greater is even better.

You are a gem! and I agree!
If you ever feel so inclined, my book could use a push. I spent all my spare change last year after a melanoma diagnosis, so cannot do paid ads. Hoping I can earn enough to cover the cost of a MRi, a pet scan and maybe some treats for my cats.

My motives/intentions are not "money" fueled

I'm an archaic person. Someone could pay me $20 or put $20 towards food, medication, bills... I'd feel guilty for taking money
