What gives me pause, is that giving people EPUBs is like saying, "hello, please plagiarize me." It's the same reason I stopped giving out arcs. PDFs and EPUBs are highly insecure files.

I hear you. But people rip Amazon files and put them on pirate sites. Pirates gonna pirate. Smashwords and a few others also let you download epubs. Given the potential for entire ebook libraries on kindle, Apple, etc to be wiped out by the fascist US government, I'd rather give people the option.

It is upsetting to know your book’s being pirated, but like with any business, there’s going to be a certain amount of theft. If someone can’t afford my books and wants to read them, I’m not going to stop them, and I don’t particularly want to. But yes it sucks to know some who could buy them don’t
