You might find these "appointments" are private and paid by the patient. Thus taking them out of the "NHS Englands" waiting list.

Yet, for me in Scotland. I can call my GP today, get an appointment today (for series illnesses) and be seen if required at hospital today. Do i have to wait, Yes...

When I had an issue back in 2024 (Feb 20th) of Optic Neuritis (MS : MOGAD) condition that was just diagnosed. I spent about 9 hours in AE, saw a Doctor, was admitted given a bed and on IV steroids and kept in for 5 days to get the swelling down. Now on cellcept indef.
