Does anyone in #SWTOR know if Twi'lek skin was updated too, at some point? I've not noticed the obvious neckline on Tali while wearing this outfit before. So now I can't unsee it, meaning I have to not use it for now. Thanks. - ThreadSky

Looking more closely at the pic, the main problem is that the torso's skin material is modernized while the head's one isn't, compounding the issue.

Twi'lek haven't beet changed yet. So far the updates have been on human heads-based characters, and Twi'lek textures don't match those (they are mapped differently), so, they require a separate effort.

They are possibly showing the effects of the game-wide changes in lighting and shaders, though.

As others have said, Twi'lek have always had issues: the extra glossiness of their heads' skin isn't applied to the rest of their bodies, and the bottom edge of their necks doesn't quite fit the top edge of their torsos. I wonder if they were the very first alien species BW modelled.

Maybe. When they introduced Cathar, new skin textures were required for that species, whereas they must have used human textures for the body of Twi'leks /despite/ the usual difference ("Glossiness" as you say), is different from humans.

All species besides cathar share the same skin files for the body. Hence the mismatch between the face and body of twi'leks

The neck seam issue on Twi'leks has been around since before the latest update (see here for example: https://www.reddit.com/r/swtor/comments/14cva6d/twilek_skin_color_bug_is_there_a_way_to_fix_it_or/) so that's not a new thing. People are just noticing it more now while looking for new changes.

Aye, it's not helped that I have come back in *several updates/years* later, so I don't have the "previous update" milestone, just what I saw before vs what I'm seeing now.
