I do genuinely like TLJ.

I remember seeing it the first time and really liking it but being concerned about Luke. Watched it again the next day Was a bit less sure. Fell into a pit of internet about how it ruined the franchise Came out the other side knowing it's easily the best film of the sequels

Probably might consider rewatching TROS. The fucking world can threaten me over the movie as it has for 5 years but even with some drawbacks, it’s still a great movie for me and a great finale for the ST.

It’s great, and I’m tired of pretending or being told to stop pretending it isn’t.

Enjoy the crap out of it, no shame. I prefer all the trilogy as films personally, a lot more going on to watch for me. The OG are all nostalgia, so I love them too, but I don't intend to rewatch them at all personally.

Lando was iconic start to end as the wise old Obi Wan now, Chewbacca gets pinned, a Han scene new, Luke as a Force ghost, Leia as a Force ghost, and somehow Palpatine returned gifs. The Ghost also. Anyone who doesn’t like TROS hates Star Wars, fun, decency and storytelling. And they prob did Jan 6.

The thing I respect about this post is "for me."

Experiences are deeply personal, after all. For me, I enjoyed it in the theater more than TLJ, but overall, I think it's the worst Star Wars film.

However, if it's YOUR favorite and means something to YOU well...thats great isn't it.

I think some people will come around to it eventually. It deviated from TLJ in ways I wished it hadn't at the time, but I accept that that's the story, and there are parts of it I really like. I also fully support Rey Skywalker.
