Doesn't appear to be abating in Somerset at least. My fence is hanging on for dear life. It's down at both ends of the garden, just waiting for the floppy bits to pull down the rest of it in between.

Why yellow, amber, red alerts? Surely amber=yellow. Suggestion:
1) green which is our usual biting weather,
2) amber when we need to keep our wits about us, and
3) red when we don't go outside?

What time will it all calm down. Am in an area in the SE and strongest winds for a couple of years. Everything that could has blown down. But kids are still OK to play football in it? As weather warning is OK for the area.
