How long would a playthrough of main quest + most side stuff take? Had the same experience with both Odyssey and Valhalla where I really enjoyed them until getting completely burnt out 15-20 hours before the end
So the main quest took me around 40 hours, and while I don’t think it completely avoids the mid game droll, I think it does a better job at breaking things up into more manageable chunks
Considering how crowded the market has become with Samurai-esque games, would you say that Shadows does enough to stand out compared to these games that popped up in the past 5 years or so?
From the outside it looks like the kind of game that would have gone triple-platinum a decade ago.
Not directly. I know that they’re was some valid crit towards Ubisoft re: the authenticity of some the architecture and presentation of Shinto shrines but no ones really addressed that with me
I dunno Japanese history enough to speak to that, of course
Are you prepared for the incoming barrage of abuse from white supremacists once the figure out it was you who dared to give an 8/10 to a game with a black guy in it lol
Because I’m not a woman they can’t try to intimidate and bully in the most deranged ways possible, the biggest of the bad actors won’t @ me directly lol
So this is certainly not a game that I think will make AC converts (it is largely the same formula), but I would ask what is it you liked about Ghost that you don’t like about ACs?
I know a lot of people really like Odyssey but I found the middle of that game to be tedious without the sort of peaks that Valhalla has to stave off the entropy
I don't have a question but I thought the review was good. I kind of feel it was intentional making Yasuke more limited, still looking forward to playing with him as a change of pace. You didn't mention parkour much in the review, how is it? I like the flips I see her doing on dismounts.
So it functions largely the same as it always has, except Naoe moves like a mythological version of a ninja
You can’t just climb everything anymore, but that’s offset by Naoe’s grappling hook that can really fill the gaps, and is the big separator between Yasuke and her
Thank you bro. AC 3 is 🔥, Connor was a solid character and as an American, the setting was top tier. I know we are all entitled to our opinions but objectively, AC 3 doesn't deserve the negativity it gets.
There was some technical shit that didn’t hit, but I truly believe people were not ready for AC game from such a stark and kind of depressing perspective at the time. I feel like we as a society are ready now lol

I’ll say there’s really one other game in this setting that is like Shadows and that’s GoT and they might be different enough to consider playing both

It’s a great game for taking stills in tho, incredibly photogenic
I did stick with Naoe most times since she’s more versatile but there’s some sections where I certainly would rather the wrecking ball that is Yasuke.
Origins
Shadows
Valhalla
Odyssey
