I'm teaching classes on human-animal interactions, comparative psychology, and animal welfare in the psychological sciences spring term. What are the best undergrad friendly books you've read in 1/more of these categories?

It's not the most recent book, but Craig Stanford's Significant Others is a pretty accessible one that involves a good amount of comparative psych among primates.
Not meaning to be self-serving but I just came out with book called "Comparative Psychopathology", about understanding psychological disorders from comparative psychology perspective. Since undergrads often enter with interest in clinical fields this puts comparative psych in interesting context.
