PICTURE BOX in its pomp saw Alan Rothwell (who also played a middle-class smackhead in Brookside) introduce often eerie animations from around the world. A 1988 edition featured Sam Weiss' brilliant 1972 version of The Legend of Sleepy Hollow, narrated by John Carradine!
