The best advice I can give is to practice lots and use reference! Other than that, a lot of drawing is also training yourself on how to see differently—
It’s a bit hard to put into words, but when we look at something our brain defaults to having us draw what we *think* we see—training yourself to get the angles and relative proportions to match what you’re really seeing rather than your brain’s version helps a lot!
For example, if a beak is tilted at a weird angle, sometimes I’ll hold up my pencil and try to recreate the angle physically before drawing it. Sometimes I’ll realize I perceived the angle completely wrong initially 😅

I feel that, even though I do semi realistic pieces, they don’t feel that real.
