One of my friend's mothers was freed that day. She was 11. After the war, she was reunited with her Mom and an older sister. Everyone else was gone./

Always want to point out that while this was truly an achievement for humanity in stopping this genocide, it never stopped for the queers. No liberation came and they remained convicted criminals post liberation.
