And the thing is, this doesn't have to be. We can expand the ACA, Medicare, & Medicaid. For-Profit insurance companies can cut back on ridiculous giveaways to execs so they have more funds to pay out to Ordinary Customers, while they do more concierge care for the rich. This CAN be fixed.
Medicare for all would save us a boatload of money and give us better care. It would also allow people to quit a job without worrying about losing health care.
As far as I can tell he actually got some care AND got to shoot someone (that never insured him). He fared a lot better than many Americans, myself included.
Exactly. An ordinary person, potentially at an incredibly vulnerable time, denied by a giant corporation where it can take an hour to talk to a human. It’s like shouting into a void when even your doctor’s professional opinion isn’t deemed relevant.
