I can't really talk about it without spoilers, but certain decisions for the new Daredevil series have me very optimistic that someone there truly wants to rectify certain issues.

But Daredevil isn't Luke. Isn't Danny. It's easy to invest in a white lead. Easy to tell certain stories with "cover."

Easy to obtain the opportunity to tell those stories in the first place when you have a particular phenotype that makes people "comfortable." That won't make people accuse you of having an "agenda."

I will tell you right now that if they continue with the existing Netflix histories for Luke/Danny then I'm OUT. I do not care how good the new Daredevil is. In fact, it being good would add insult to injury. A clear message that we will never enjoy the representation or care that white heroes get.

I will also tell you right now that if I get Disney Plus again to specifically cover the new Marvel Street shows and we end up with the same old Luke and Danny from the Netflix run I will be BIG MAD. The kind of mad that only comes from losing money.
