I'm not that deep into BattleTech, but I'm not sure if it says more about Clanner's superior technology or Inner's incompetence that they lost so much ground to an opponent who tells you their forces and objective before an engagement.

I only have the vaguest osmosis of battletech lore but I caught just enough of it that when I rewatched this show last year I was kind of amazed at how much clan cultural stuff actually came up.
