If you think the U.S. stance on long-range weapons and NATO membership is challenging now, just wait to see how it might change once trump takes office. He would likely remove all sanctions on Russia and abruptly stop delivering weapons to Ukraine. I hope I'm wrong.

This is where we must stand together as Europe, get Ukraine into NATO and protect our shared soverinity. Within a few months the US will screw over Europe, and Russia gladly wants more time to get another swing at Ukraine in future years. This all smells like a devide and conquer against Europe.

I think I read Zelensky saying they had 10 battalions but could only equip 2.5 battalions, so how would lowering the mobilisation age improve the situation? They need equipment to equip what they have now.

I get this to an extent but there are plenty of things that can be done besides combat - 7.5 battalions preparing defences or other logistics, etc. is one thing that should have been done if they couldn't be equipped for combat

Lot of confusion here. Zelinski means not fully mechanized. They are definitely armed. In the old days we would call them light infantry. Putin uses light infantry in his meat assaults. Young men and women too should be drafted. IDF 40% women frees up lot's of men. Complicated decisions.🤔
