YEAH! I remember on a school field trip out to the wilderness, this was demonstrated and I thought it was really cool. We went somewhere with nearly zero light pollution to do it.

It was gorgeous! We were in an open grass plains surrounded on all sides by a forest with a dirt road in and out for the bus, and you could see the Milky Way, since it was a later trip. I still think back to it from time to time, it was lots of fun.
