I will admit in the base game my reaction was mostly "ugh, this guy again", but the Pristine Cut added a bunch of new facets to his character that made me really appreciate him.
He used to be the one I liked the least until the Pristine Cut dropped, but there was one new chapter with him that hit me way harder than I thought it would, and I get it now.
There are things that only someone who's been broken can understand.
Ive said it before and ill say it again. I cant pick a favorite or least favorite voice. In different routes every voice show their strengths and in others they show their weaknesses, and the broken is pain but also empathy
HE IS MY FAVOURITE!
In the interest of not saying spoilers, I will not make my dissertation about him here, but I will say this: he has so much empathy in him. Broken he may be, but he does still care
I know exactly what you're talking about and I appreciated that part too. I was trying to get that route a second time and couldn't seem to replicate it though. This just inspired me to try again.
If you're having trouble getting there, I would recommend facing off with an adversary rather than scaling a tower. Then, when fury dissipates, find it in you to forgive
I did manage it last night! I think it might be a bit finicky about the order and specific interactions you have to have with the Adversary in order to prep Broken for what he needs to do because the Fury often fizzles out and unravels with no further dialogue.
