it just gets harder and harder to like/tolerate him the longer this goes on because her reasons for breaking up with him (at least twice now) have been very legitimate so i get protective and can't unsee what she tells me

ugh yeah feel that. Had a friend go through a long-term situationship ending that was messy, but she did put her foot down and has found someone infinitely better who is not a wishy-washy, immature, balding idiot.
