I would add - the lack of local candidates at debates and media tightly controlled - does not bode well in a democracy. Their authoritarianism was quite visible. For a base that wants less control, it's baffling they even voted for someone who needs absolute control.

I am hoping that those who went blue will come back red in the next few years. I believe they turned over because they feared global economics and didn't understand that they walked into the dragon's den. They can't see it's a global issue because they don't want to see the complexity of that.

Used the notwithstanding. Cut Toronto City council in a breathtaking revenge tour.
Land deals with developers.
WAY more popular than Poilievre.

I partially agree...I also watched Poilievre bold face lie to Canadians during pressers, speeches, interviews...he should be sanctioned for misleading Canadians...he should never again be permitted to lead.

Oh there’s plenty of hate for liberals. These sick people are rabid and will happily turn on whoever they are told to hate.
I think Cons lost because slightly less of us want to continue wasting time fighting for the sake of fighting, and want to address our huge problems like adults.
