My eldest son grew up there. He wanted to do his last year of uni here in Australia, I convinced him not to to avoid the debt.

I didn't complete High School yet believe Uni should be free, fund ut via a 70% PRRT, increase tax rates on the highest paid and close tax loopholes that allow them to pay very little. Tax all Businesses as well eg Murdoch Media

I get some argue that Uni degrees see people get good salaries, however most start of on good ones but not great. Lumbering them with HECS is just not right. Changing the Tax system so those who get promoted into the higher paid jobs pay via Tax rates is better

That way they can afford it and aren't facing HECS debt. We could also increase Newstart if set up right
