I'm no historian, but I think what we commonly believe to be the confederate flag is actually a battle flag. There was a series of confederate states flags with bars and stars, something like a precursor to the present one. During the statues & flags debacle this came out. I may be wrong, though.

I've been a strong Republican since 1975 when the Queen sacked our Government. With that given we are a modern multicultural Country with our First Australians that were here for 50,000 years before white Australians can't support the Union Jack on our Flag. Canada grew up with your Flag

Start a petition, send it to your PM and MPs. We had something like 5,000 designs in a contest. I believe your colours are 💚💛 include an Aboriginal design or symbol into it and poof!

I'd replace the Union Jack with the Aboriginal Flag. That way you instantly acknowledge our Aboriginals as the First Australians.

So true. But the old one was okay too. It was the red enzyme which is basically based around the United Kingdom. That one rocked as well. But this one. Our flag is better than the stars and the stripes
