When you buy an EV you want to feel good about it. Buying a Tesla means the opposite. You buy a Nazi labelled car and anti democracy labelled car. Who wants that? Crash, no stopping it!
They really are shit. This was taken earlier this year (in February, in Montreal), this is not deep snow... and notice the sub-compact sailing by. 😆 https://youtu.be/VrKC2t_1zv4
I feel that there won’t be much of a demand for it - the “tradie” types would ridicule its design as a supposed “Ute” and the normal, ev buyers don’t want a thing to do with Tesla and musk’s ideology and will purchase other brands and choose sedans or hatchbacks
There's a range of things manufacturers can do to minimise the lethality of a vehicle collision with a pedestrian. It's a little-discussed area, but a lot of clever design gets done in this area.
They can be - but most (nowdays) are designed to reduce the chance of killing (maybe only break shins etc) or mangling (the 1950s kneecappers *eek*).
The sharp-edged-deathrace thing seems designed for the opposite purpose.

who is gonna take this thing on a track ?!!
That 10cyl Porsche Carrera GT is one ; and it’s because of the pedestrian safety issues IIRC
