Trump loves authoritarians because he wants to be one. Vance loves authoritarianism because he's a true believer that's how society should be run. I think if they were around in the 30s then Trump would have been defending Hitler - the man - and Vance would defend the ideology as more than one man

I do think Trump's payments, via Cohen, to children, both boys and girls, for sexual services has something to do with it.

Payments to American families.

The Russians probably didn't ask for payments, just like to invite Trump over for private viewings, and the odd favor.
