In 2021, leading scientists in PNAS warned explicitly about a “ghastly future”- massive biodiversity loss, collapsing ecosystems, and leaders doing absolutely nothing meaningful. We were warned, clearly.

Science Progress (2023) didn’t sugarcoat it either. They said plainly: the root cause is us- our lifestyles, our politics, our economic models. We’re living in psychological overshoot. Our way of life itself is collapsing.

Collapse isn’t one big Hollywood-style event. It’s the NHS struggling, shelves emptying, power outages, heatwaves, flooding, refugees, and governments quietly militarising.
It’s already happening.
We have to stop pretending otherwise.
I’m telling you this because you deserve to know. Because we can still respond.
Forget politicians, forget billionaires- they’re securing themselves, not us.
It’s time for real resilience: community, local food, mutual aid, and solidarity.
We build what they won’t.
