Boomers often include their home (less mortgage) in their NW. Isn't worth what they think it is despite HELOCs and reverse mortgages. I've seen plenty of boomers confronted with the reality that a high property value ≠ comfortable retirement.

I suspect growing up in the 2007- 2008 Recession is still quite fresh among us millennials and that informs many of our saving habits
