"Wait until the enemy shoots himself in the foot" is a strategy better suited to a world in which all parties buy into the rules of the game (i.e. the Constitution, the rule of law). Sitting around waiting for them to self-destruct when they don't buy into the rules of the game is very risky. 1/4
