Mullane is very likely also out due to significant character issues of his own but I’ll keep him in to be charitable and to offset anyone who thinks Kevin Brown wouldn’t be in regardless of character issues.

Cone is scandal-free and considered by many, but not an overwhelming number, to be worthy.

So, ~26 of 28 eligible, scandal-free pitchers with 9 or more 4bWAR seasons are in the Hall with the only exceptions being a 19th century violent, racist hurler, and David Cone.

Cole Hamels’ type of greatness is underrated by the public, but not Hall of Fame history.

If instead I stuck with the N as 34 and considered Brown, Clemens, Kershaw, Mullane, Scherzer, and Verlander Hall of Famers that would be 32 out of 34 as in the Hall, or, 97%.

It's really impressive the consistency Hamels has through his whole career and that how many wuality seasons he's been able to produce. The quantity should be enough in today's standards and it all makes his case worth more discussions. I think his whole body of work defines the borderline of HOF.
