Is there anyone from the FGC thinking it'll be a bad game? On my bubble I only see excitement. Of course, everyone's a little disappointed that we'll likely not have Marvel vs Capcom 4 because of this, but I've seen no one (that isn't just stupid) thinking it'll be a bad game from what we saw.

No, you would think Marvel Tokon would be bad if you're expecting it to be like Capcom's older Marvel games and aren't open-minded to the game being something different.

People judging Tokon based on some basic combos when they don't even know what the game's mechanics are are mentally damaged.

Reveal trailers ain't gonna show off the full extent of a game. If a game looks interesting to you and you're willing to wait to learn more about it then you're already doing better than most!

it's a good hope to have. i think the main crux of why people are reacting like this is that it's *mostly* how Strive currently functions and it's clearly the same engine and base, so Strive dislikers are out in full force bracing to dislike this too.

end of the day, Strive itself was modeled off of DBFZ cores and DBFZ was closer to MVC3 than most fighters since, so assuming "oh they clearly will just let it be Marvel Strive" is just jumping the gun either way

Most of that stuff they’re saying is based on huge assumptions anyway, the wallbreak stuff for example. People aren’t a big fan of that in Strive but there’s zero evidence it’ll work remotely like it in Tokon so they’re just making noise.

While a lot of it is will it be Mahvel (it won't) and will it have long combos. The general worry is more about how much variety will it actually offer. Is it going to be very autocombo centric, will those "dust" combos be couple hits then ender, how much will wall break effect routes.
