I'd say it's more like somebody saying that dogs are televisions or toaster ovens are cats. Or that giraffes are asteroids. Sharks are planets. Snakes are supernovae. Salamanders are Marxists. Mushrooms are the concept of democracy.

The idea that conservatives are nonconformist anti-institutionalists is so wrong I don’t really know where to begin criticizing it. It’s like somebody saying that dogs are cats or the television is a toaster oven.
