They will probably be able to muster the votes for deportation money, and a budget crushing set of tax cuts, which they will then demand massive budget cuts to cover. They might even get a few Dems to vote for some of that. Though I expect you are right about the power grabs

They did but didn't pass both houses. This time they will struggle even more.

Yeah honestly this time around I think it’ll probably pass the senate 51-49 but face a really hard time in the House. I doubt all 220 republicans vote for it, especially the republicans in swing districts will reject it.
