I might catch some flack over this but those anti-vaulting ToS for mods should be the norm. I'm okay with people charging for their time creating nice things, but I want modding to be ran by people genuinely passionate about it, not by folks that heard that FFXIV is a good business opportunity.

Feels so odd seeing so much paywalled in XIV.
That being said, I don't think simple for-one-model outfits or hairs should cost more than $5
3D software costs a lot of money (even though you don't have to have the most expensive suite ever tbh). Same with assets, those don't come free.
On the other hand, paywalls continue to be rampant, even for ripped assets and other stuff with really low effort.
So bad faith on both sides, really.
There's also people shitting super high poly mods, or things that weren't tested enough just for the sake of doing as much as quickly as possible.
Not to mention the asset stealers, and people from other communities (like vrchat) just learning how to mod ffxiv to sell stuff without playing
