Woke up to a UE5.4 Project that wouldn't open - resetting the Configs to a new Start-up Map gets me in, but every blueprint is corrupt, opening anything completely crashes the engine. Any ideas? Updating to UE5.5 did fix it with some minor BP bugs, but I'd like to avoid that.. #UE5 #UnrealEngine - ThreadSky

Praise Github, Revision Control and the sense I had a few months ago to set it up, crawled my way back to a stable version by reverting everything to a few days ago and very slowly adding features back in

This is very unfortunate 😓. I think this has happened to me before, and it was related to one of the blueprints in the project being corrupt. Maybe it could be a corrupt blueprint or asset that all of them are referencing?

It was exactly that! oddly enough it wasn't even a BP that I made some major changes too, it was actually a very small change that I don't think would've caused any compile issues, just one of those mysteries :D

I suspect that the map couldn't open because there was a corrupt blueprint present on it. If you can remember which blueprints were included in the map, it might help you identify the problematic one

You could also try making a backup of your project first and then removing blueprints one by one to see if you can find the corrupt blueprint.
