Small beginnings for me but I far prefer Blue Sky. I can enjoy areas of interest far more easily and even with politics the conversations are much less aggressive - a welcome change from the other place.

I deleted my account with over 5k followers over there. I realised that I effectively lost my account when Musk took over and my interactions dropped to virtually nil, so although it felt like a loss, I accepted it had already happened and I didnt want my acct to be a number used to support him.

I suppose it depends on whether a good percentage of the audience you hope to reach are still on Twitter. And then, of course, if that's worth the anxiety of being on a platform where your life is being threatened. If it were me, I'd leave posthaste.

I wish death threats were taken more seriously. Why can’t they arrest these people for threats and intimidation??? Or take away their access to people online? Working on ab0rti0n rights opened me to all kinds of direct threats and criticism.

I left Twitter in July 2023 and haven't looked back. It was a hard decision & i have never rebuilt the same sized following. But it was the right call for me. I don't think it has the reach it used to, and certainly, if your personal safety is being threatened, you have every reason to abandon it.

I find here much better. It’s like the grown up X where people can disagree and have discussions. You may not change anyone’s mind,but at least you’re not debating with people that just throw random info at you,then call you names when you ask for sources.

I don't know why anyone with a shred of decency is still on X. We could have had that platform on its knees long ago if people had the courage of their convictions and permanently deactivated their accounts. It's unfit for purpose on every level.

You’re not the only one. Twitter’s residual value is based on inertia only: some audiences, particularly outside the US, have been slow to switch. But no new value is being added there.

I left twitter, it was morally indefensible to stay on the platform as the owner is truly horrible human. Beyond that, it’s full of ads, disinformation and hate speech…
