I didn’t say Trump wrote the book. I’ve heard Tony Schwartz describing his time as Trump‘s ghostwriter as well as his current disgust for the guy. The Art of the Deal is Trump’s shtick. He pretends he’s a dealmaker extraordinaire. My point is that in reality the dealmaker extraordinaire is Carney.

The US let its debt get comically out of control. And whether this tale of back room deals is true or not, it does show at least one truth. And that truth is this: because a large chunk of that debt is in foreign hands, it allows them a huge amount of leverage over US policy.
