Have discovered that you can add YouTube channels to an RSS reader simply by copying the channel URL, and adding "/RSS" to the end.
This is handy, as there are some channels I don't sub to, but like to check in on every now and then. This allows me to do that without clogging up my sub list.

Still, very handy for seeing when a new video has been uploaded, without having to deal with the visual noise of the YouTube app.
Each time I add a channel, I add a "YouTube" tag to each. This gives me a very neat dropdown menu where I can instantly see each channel, and any new videos they've added.
No more needless scrolling trying to find what a given channel has recently posted.
