i think remakes as a concept are perfectly fine, the only real issue i have is if they outright replace the original in terms of availability if the fanbase thinks the remake outright replaces the original then i don't really give af since most fanbases nowadays are 90% mouthbreathers anyway - ThreadSky

there's more nuance to this of course, such as the original outright being difficult to rerelease, an example is basically any game in the PS2 gen that used renderware since EA bought that up

but there's only so much i can fit in so many characters and i'm never sober after work anyway

i get what ur saying but companies absolutely want to replace art bc they make more money that way, and gamers are down with it bc they're philistines. it doesn't really matter whether the original is available when the result is the same
