As an aside, I always preferred the late Josh Kirby's covers to the later Paul Kidby's, despite the latter being technically better and more accurate in a hundred ways.
Kidby drew the characters like he'd actually read the books, which spoiled all the fun.

I'm gonna get to the bit where I say I love him despite all this, I swear, just one more...
Josh.
Something about Kirby's style—the fun, the colour, the ugliness exaggerated till it becomes its own kind of beauty, the way even mundane things are rendered magical—even the very thing I'm knocking him for, the attitude that you CAN boldly ignore or modify anything as you see fit—
Your mileage may vary. Paul Kidby is a fine artist. I could never hope to be as good as him, and he knows the books inside out. It's just, you know. I dunno, his stuff is, well, it's...
...it's just a bit LESS, you know?
Anyway...
The very early novels aren't many people's favourites, but I've a soft spot for them. At this point the premise of Discworld is "What if fantasy but funny", and TCOM does that well. It's interestingly unique in that it's written as four loosely sequential novellas.
You mistook Dibbler for Moist, which is very apt!
