I haven't played DQ3R yet, but what I do know is that there is a lot of QoL improvements in that game. IMHO,HD-2D is perfect for bringing back *OLDER* RPGs to new audiences. I guess the question for a lot of fans would be: "would you prefer HD-2D or a complete re-imagining of a game like FFVIIR?"

I don't think HD-2D should be used for everything but it's an art style that I quite like and would love to see used every now and then.
I think it works well for the Dragon Quest remakes but I'm also glad Mario & Luigi opted not to use it

If anything, go further with it. So far I've only seen rpg type games do it. Broaden it to other genres.
It was a quick playthrough but love the epic storytelling it did.
