If I understood the fine print correctly, you can only lend games while being physically close to each, which sucks a lot for those who use the family thing for friends.
This sounds like a hidden account sharing crackdown that they're disguising as positive. As someone who has shared an account long distance where we have both bought games for the account, this sounds very troublesome https://bsky.app/profile/ceruleanaoi.bsky.social/post/3llexyrtetk25
This was the best announcement for me. We have 5 switches in the house and I typically will buy physical so we can share the game card. But I've gotten a few digital games that I can soon lend to my kids.
This legitimately makes not one bit of sense to me. I don’t even understand What they’re trying to do. So we have 2 different types of digital games now? Great I guess.

I honestly thought this was already a thing in family groups.
Are Virtual Cards different to Digital Games or are all digital games cards now?
Wonder if they have to be transferred via local wireless or if you can use an SD card.
Guessing it’s just transferring the DRM license code to the other switch? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
