I’ve seen this list and I cannot find any evidence of the Buffalo Bills donating in 2024 on Open Secrets (and employees donated ~$800 across all candidates, hardly a material donation). Am I reading this wrong? If not, it makes me question the rest of the list.
Somebody should make a website / Reddit / Wikipedia where we can have details on each company’s donations and actions in favor of Trump / associates. And maybe have a “community notes” that add verification to data.
Much like the Goods Unite Us app. You can search brands and companies to see where they stand RED or BLUE. Sort it by clothing, banks, publishers, cameras.... The list is endless. I wish someone would add DEI to the site.
It’s strange for Target to be scaling back DEI. Most, if not all, the employees at my local Target are people of color and women. Nevertheless, I will not be going back.
I’m not surprised Target caved to MAGA pressure though RE DEI programs, since it already got wobbly kneed over pressure from MAGA over pride month merch. Black History and Pride month are when we’ve always found the best stuff at Target.
The same is true for the Walmarts in our area. I try to not shop at Walmart, but wheat allergy kids in a rural area with few grocery store options means that where I sometimes end up if I can’t make a drive beyond the 20-30 minutes it takes just to get to a Walmart, which has the best GF options.
I signed up for Target’s grocery delivery service over Christmas because they finally expanded to our area and the store we can get deliveries from has the best GF options of area Targets. Long Covid destroyed my health and left me with a seizure disorder and heart condition, so I can’t always drive
The point is this is a list stating the companies donated to Trump/Project 2025. Target did not. I think facts are important. I’m not supporting Target either, but it’s because they are ending their DEI program.
So people are looking at the listings for companies and not paying attention to the fact that the data on donations is broken up between individual donors who work for the business and the business itself. Home goods parent company didn’t donate to Trump a penny.
File it under the impermanence of the digital space. And now we’re in an “information” age where resources, data, documents are disappearing in real time. Constitution. What Constitution? See, EO Outaa My Ass 412 if you wanna know what’s legal on Tuesday. God Bless America and the chosen one.
People are looking at the listings for companies and not paying attention to the fact that the data on donations is broken up between individual donors who work for the business and the business itself. TJMaxx’s parent company didn’t donate to Trump a penny.
Because it's a sloppy list, especially when dealing with complex organizations like TJX. I wouldn't base my purchasing decisions off this. The mess is likely because they put in different employer names when they donated.
Ace Hardware is a retailer owned coop. Every local store will be different.
Going to be hard to do them. Especially Titos. Switching back to tequila. Tell me makers of 1800 are not on list. Tequila, orange seltzer and topped w/lemonade is delicious. Garnish w/lime.
Get the Goods Unite Us app. It has a comprehensive list of hundreds (thousands?) of companies/products and their political donation histories. Very useful for ANY spending decisions.
Boycott!! There’s not one business on this list that doesn’t have a ton of competitors NOT on the list. You’ll miss nothing. Your wallet is a strong activist tool. Keep a copy in your phone’s camera roll
The Goods Unite Us app show a lot of these (that I’m
Aware of) are Republican donors in general.
I really don’t care if they’re still supporting “DEI” initiatives (as other lists floating around are purporting some are). They’re probably waiting to be told when to stop 🤷🏻♀️
Other than the car rental companies & Bausch & Lomb, (will look for alternatives), I don’t shop at any of the places. Thank goodness. Walmart and Target are also off my list.
Try your local Distilleries, Google them, you may find that they're better than corporations!
Years ago Rachel Maddow visited a local distillery here, and I discovered their hooch was far more superior than shelf brand liquor and have been buying from them ever since!
enterprise? what fucking morons. what are they going to do with the economy crashes and nobody even goes on vacations or work trips anymore. We don't need your rentals
What do expect from rich people. They own the country not us. Not until it is taken back cause tyrants never relinquish power. Once trump is gone there is still the heritage foundation and others. They must be stopped, even more importantly than trump himself. For They are the brains behind it
I didn’t either. But a lot, if not all, of these companies donate heavily to Republicans, which is pretty much one in the same, seeing as Project 2025 is just their agenda.
My @neworleanssaints.bsky.social broke my heart. How do you support that when your home is a city filled with such a diverse culture and history?? Gayle Benson should be ashamed of herself. Using HER HUSBAND’S money (NOT HERS. SHE DIDN’T EARN IT) to fund evil. She can burn in Hell for all I care.
This makes it seem like all of these cos donated entirely to Reps. Not true. Some on this list donated equally to both parties. Open Secrets will give you the breakdown for any company by party and year. Don’t take a list like this with no source at face value. https://opensecrets.org
Moving forward, I’m just going to look at the web sites for OpenSecrets and Goods Unite Us and avoid lists. Also, it seems sometimes the donations are not from the companies but from executives, personally.

All these companies donated to trump’s inaugural 👇
In the past, I had a certain sympathy for Target when MAGA protested in their stores. It’s sad that MAGA victimized them.
We just do what we can
Profiles companies and who they have been supporting.
Useful for when, I'm choosing to spend money. @halaayala.bsky.social

Could it be shut down?
No clue why that link went from working last night to not working this morning, but here’s the org’s website.
I've been there before, so I wondered if it was on my end. TY

It wouldn’t be hard to confirm for yourself. Just time consuming.
They’ve had Project XXXX since the 80s, I think.
Wonder Bread, not shocking.
