My take on The Women. It is gripping to read about the nurses experience in Viet Nam. For me, the story fell apart after they got home. Kristin Hannah is appreciated for her research and attention to detail. But she layers on so much that it doesn’t appear real anymore.

The second half was certainly a tough read, but I felt it added to the story and really showed a less talked about side of military service.

Yes. My gripe is that while I believe all of those situations did occur, it was not believable that all of them happened to the same person.
