I used to live about 4 min from Natl - first apt complex just south on entering Alexandria. If this crash took place over land, it would have been even more tragic. I traveled a lot for work, so being right by the airport was handy, but I always worried about an in air collision over head. ❤️💔
So this proves that FAA investigation is not needed. You know the answer of what happened already. We can remove FAA agency and use the money for something better.
The obvious can lead a many errors. Only the FAA could have made an analysis of facts, but Elon Musk fired the responsible and other FAA people. So everyone can invent a story and believe anything.
the track shows it veering right earlier in the flight, a maneuver that is probably impossible at the speed it was travelling - I think the track is not accurate to the actual flight path of the helicopter
Incompetence or intentional act. I don’t know nearly enough about flying helicopters to know which is more likely but it *feels* like incompetence on someone’s part
Yeah it would be helpful to know what the usual helicopter routes to and from Fort Belvoir usually look like. Senator Duckworth was on MSNBC saying this was a normal helicopter route for that area but who knows 🤷♂️
I’m sure you are right. I don’t think he shared the space with helicopters years ago… but things might have changed. Not sure what the point is though. Sigh.

The plane was on approach to land.
Breathe Scott 😂
Is in flight
FWIW it’s definitely looking like an accidental error on the part of the helicopter pilot as of this AM
It was traveling at over 100 mph, that sharp right/left turn would be very unusual.
army at fault
The helo zig zagged and the plane seemed to turn late into the airport based on the direction of the runways.
I dunno, just odd
