So thoughts on dungeons now that I've had time to watch the video. A modern example of a grim dungeon is absolutely the dungeon of fear and hunger in Fear & Hunger. This game is more than a bit adult-oriented, and has a host of content warnings. However, supernatural darkness all around you 1/2

2/2 ancient tombs to gods, flesh feasting uncanny things and promises of riches and power all lend to that style. Of course for lighter content you can look at the older Final Fantasy and Dragon Quest games or things inspired by them.

Great Video! I still love those Dungeons, and they also serve another interesting role for me in TTRPG games: They constrain Choices in addition to telegraphing Dangerous Places. This makes them a great place to *learn* the Rules with clearer goals at the forefront (survival, treasure, etc.)
