I just tried to go up Otay mountain again and the gate was locked with the key apparently accessible by asking at a ranger station - except I didn't know this so I left. I guess I missed my chance for awhile :/

I think it was a ranger station but could've been the RV park office? Last time I went prior was 3-4 years ago and you could just drive up the fireroad, now it's locked. No cell signal in the area... I suppose if it burns, the Otay manzanita will be happy though
