Almost 800,000 people on here are following a totally-not-real account claiming it's a group of rogue park workers and who are now posting cryptic nonsense to make it seem like they're sending messages to the deep state. Also they're selling resistance merch. WTF are we doing man?

I ignored that part, figuring MAYBE it means something BUT they do have to know this is not a secure communication channel, and I don't care about some numbers. I followed because someone I maybe shouldn't have trusted either on here recommended them. And I was not on twitter in 2017 & am not on FB

theres been a bunch of accounts that do this kind of thing since Qanon started it, pretending to be a covert insider working against the powers that be. Vaguely posting fake secret codes. Its all just meant to farm social media clout

I had to remove the Onion from my feed for that exact reason (it used to be a tension releaser but now satire is not funny.) It is exhausting how unbelievable so much of this all is. It takes huge quantities of mental energy to sieve it all out.

I followed that account on Twitter for awhile. Whoever ran it was pretty solidly “progressive” in the time period you indicate.
