If only my employer would listen, they’re going all in with AI despite being a bank. They really think that magically it’ll give them some advantage beyond marginal gains if done well. They really think it’s going to change the nature of banking.

Same at my tech company. The appeasement to executives is really unfortunate - no one is actually using it in their day to day, they simply are ‘looking at how to utilize it’ and have been for the better part of a year. Doesn’t help that Salesforce’s implementation is absolutely atrocious.

the shift in welcoming AI data centers into my small western farm town (that has a large aquifer) is clearly visible in the last 30 days. I’ve forwarded some of your posts to city council members who don’t know what a graphics card is and it’s getting through to them and they’re saying no.
