Huge mistake. The imports from China and other countries create a lot of the GDP US has. Most of it isn't finished product and American companies sell it for profit!!

This is just basic economics people. If you want American goods you pay more. Same here in Canada. There is a choice you need to make, maybe you don’t need a new pair of jeans every week? Buy good quality local products and don’t follow the “fast fashion trend”.

It definitely doesn't, I have searched for USA made clothing for years. Even a pair of blue jeans has a minimum price of 70-80 bucks. I can get jeans at Old Navy for $30. Even with a 50% tariff it would be around $45.

Exactly. Even IF companies returned factories and jobs to the USA, everything they produced would cost more than the imports they replaced. That’s why no matter what, Trump has unleashed unsustainable level of inflation on American consumers.
